The EPIC Team Score At Goodison Park!

EPIC were recently at Everton FC home Goodison Park carrying out painting works which consisted of painting the Park End external roof structure, Gwladys Street internal roof structure and Bullens Road floodlight structure.

Works to all 3 stands consisted of preparing any failing areas of the existing coating to achieve an ST3 standard, followed by 1 full coat of Jotamastic 90 Aluminium primer and 1 coat of Hardtop AX finish. The roof structure of the Gwladys Street was accessed using a series of mobile towers linked together by Youngerman boards. The works to the park end were accessed using cherry pickers, aluminium towers and Youngman boards. The floodlights were accessed by passing Youngman boards through the “A” frame structure. A safety line was then installed for the men to attach 2no lanyards to, so that they were constantly connected to the safety line at all times.

EPIC and EFC worked closely in partnership. Jotun Paints carried out weekly site visits to check the quality of the preparation and paint thicknesses which we had applied, thus giving EFC the peace of mind from the manufacturer that the quality of the work wass as specified. The end result was a very pleased client who has had a difficult project completed safely, on time and to budget.
