Hankinson Group Welcomes the Next Generation of Apprentices

Group Chief Executive Stephen Hankinson is delighted to welcome the next generation of apprentices to the Hankinson Group. Morgan Hague recently joined the Birkenhead Head Office team on a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship in November 2018, and we have also recently appointed Trainee Estimator Dudley Tugwete at our Nottingham office.

The last day for entries to our 2018 ‘Win a Makeover’ competition is today! We will be very excited to collate all of our entries on Monday 3rd December and start the judging for two schools (one north and one south) to win a full redecoration makeover to a room of their choice. Winter Workplace Wellbeing

At this time of year germs are rife and colds & viruses can quickly spread within the office environment. To help keep our staff healthy throughout the winter months we have sent a ‘wellbeing starter pack’ through to each of our regional offices complete with antibacterial wipes to keep workstations clean, and hand sanitizers to be placed in high-traffic areas such as break rooms and near printers/copiers.

Hankinson Group Recognised as One of the Greenest Fleets!

Twelve months ago in October 2017, Hankinson Group published an article on their website stating their intention to reduce their C02 emissions and environmental impact as a company. This started with the implementation of an electric company vehicle at Head Office, along with the installation of an electric car charging point in our Headquarters car park.


Community Works Together for ISO44001 Success

Hankinson Group, as part of the North Yorkshire and North East construction works framework community with Highways England, have successfully achieved registration to ISO44001:2017, the international standard for collaborative business relationships. The certificate was awarded by BSI.


Our 'EPIC' Painting of Colourful Dragon's Bridge, Cumbria

Our EPIC Painting division, in Cumbria, recently took part in the repainting of a bridge for a socio-economic project in Cleator Moor, Cumbria. This charitable work was done for an organisation called The Colourful North, which was organised through a charity that we were encouraged to work with. The work saw the repainting of a graffiti-clad bridge called Dragons Bridge – the project had asked this area to be repainted white so that it would be a blank canvas to allow local and young artists to have a fresh area to cover with colourful artwork! The operatives who worked on this project were Lewis Mills, Phil Harris and Jordan Suart.


Paints for the Green Generation

Stephen recently held an interesting meeting with Ben Sturges, Head of Business Development for the Graphene Company (London) Limited. The Graphene Company are UK agents for Graphenstone Paints.
