Group CEO Stephen Hankinson and Jeremy Hankinson were recently invited by UK Trade and Industry to meet representatives of YIT from Finland.  The meeting took place in the UKTI stand at the UK Construction Week exhibition at the NEC Birmingham.
YIT are one of the most successful construction companies in Europe and they are looking for specialist contractors to meet their growing workload in Northern Europe.  YIT sent over their Global Procurement Manager and he was very impressed by the diverse range of skills the Hankinson Group possess.  Stephen Hankinson said “The conversations were pretty exploratory with no firm commitment by either party but it showed how global larger companies are becoming and how they are thinking about procurement,” he added “in being invited to a meeting such as this it also demonstrated how far the Hankinson Group had come.”
